About Me

Welcome! My name is Phil, I am a MSc student at UCL. I am interested in making sequence models more efficient and general purpose. Although my interests are broad, I'm currently focused on improving foundation models.

I did my MEng at the University of Bath where I received a First in Integrated Mechanical and Electrical Engineering. I completed my final project on Machine Learning for Exercise Monitoring from a Wearable Network of Inertial Sensors with Dr Alan Hunter. I also partook in the 2022 Team Bath Raceing Formula Student AI team where we acheived first place in the Autonmous Driving system class. I led the development of the car control system designing an model predictive controller for the car. Currently, I am working on Linear Attention models at UCL as part of my dissertation towards my MSc in Integrated Machine Learning Systems.

When not working you can find me either running, hiking, cooking or making music.🎷
